It somehow slipped past my radar, but tomorrow night is the Wisconsin & Illinois Bicycle Racing Association Banquet in Mt. Prospect. Awards include for Rider of the Year, the Tour of Illinois & Wisconsin and the Mid America Time Trial Series. Dinner is included with the $22 admission.

The word from the banquet is that ABR is finalizing a new race venue to replace the Parkside series.  There are 2 possible sites that would offer indoor space (like Parkside) and are not the Kenosha Industrial Park.

Also, they said that they might even use both venues to provide variety to the spring series.

On another topic, they also said that Voytek from WDT was going to upgrade to Cat 3 and Derrick Ungaro is going to racing from WDT next year.

They also mentioned other moves but I can’t remember what they were.
