  • » Registration closes tomorrow for Saturday's Cobb Park Criterium.
  • » The Glencoe Grand Prix will include a free women's clinic on Friday, June 24, led by the professional racers of Tibco.
  • » The Tour of Galena is soliciting feedback from riders who participated in this weekend's inaugural edition. (There are have been many positive reports from the weekend, but my favorite may be this one from Sarah Mythen (XXX racing-AthletiCo): "Sure, the bike was big, and I didn’t have the same clips, and I wasn’t in junior gears, but I went to Galena to race, and that was just what I was going to do."

I’ve said it on many outlets but Galena was excellent and I’m really hoping it’s back next year.

If you were unable to attend, you missed out.

Hat’s off to xXx and the work put in is appreciated.

Amazing organization for the entire weekend and awesome route selection for the road race. As tough as the road course was, it could have been even tougher so be thankful that xXx took mercy on us all.

“Thanks for pre registering for the Cobb Park criterium. Due to lack of pre reg for women 3, we are taking that spot and creating a 4/5 race. For an additional $10 you can race at 11:10am. And if we get 15 riders to reg we will award the prize list to the 4/5 race that the women 3 were to get. Looking forward to tomorrow.”

Yup.  This season is starting to feel like some Pink Floyd song lyrics…“Is there anybody out there?”

Cobb was a well-run race at a beautiful venue. They just didn’t have enough riders. They even made up for that, by offering the 4/5 race and $10 doubles (THANK YOU!). I hope to be back next year and bring 10 cat 3-4 women with me.
