While I appreciate that the Cat 4/5 field for out-of-staters wasn’t put at 8:00AM, 5 in the afternoon is hardly better, a 4/5 Chicagoan would be lucky to get home 10pm that night, nevermind that 4/5 and the 3s race are seperated by 5.5 hours. This scheduling is awful, and the out of state 4/5 race is a good as cancelled.

As good as cancelled? Racing Northbrook doesn’t put you back in the city until the 10 o’clock hour, but plenty of Chicagoans make it up to the track.  I, for one, will enjoy sleeping a little late and racing an awesome course in the evening.  But, um, hey Andrew, could I get a ride?

Ok, definitely an exaggeration, but still, that’s going to be a long day, and while track racing doesn’t get me home until 10, at least I’m only driving 20 minutes to get home instead of 2.5 hours.

Ha, I couldn’t disagree with you more, Andrew FY. I plan to race in the 4’s at Winfield at 11, then hop in my van with any fellow xXx’ers (or anybody else interested) and driving up to do a nice evening road race. I thought for sure I’d have to skip one of those two. Now I get the best of both worlds.

I have been informed by the family of Donald Vanderbrook (Kenosha Velodrome) that he has officially passed on.  At this time (Thurs 1 pm) his organs are being transplanted.  As further information becomes available I will pass it on.

Such sad news.  My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Here it is. There’s a neutral rollout from Potter. The start/finish is on the crest of Johnson.
