A quick moment of self-promotion: I’m spending the off-season collaborating with two other photographers to create a photo book celebrating the 2009 Chicago Cyclocross Cup season. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but so far it’s looking very, very neat.

We will be publishing through a print-on-demand service, but if you are willing to pick up your copy from The Pony Shop in Evanston, you can pre-order now and avoid the shipping charges. We’re even providing an IOU to slip under the tree if you’re purchasing it as a gift.

Profits will go to World Bicycle Relief.

Well, this just reproves the age-old (in internet time) lesson that you can’t go making fun of people on the internet without having one of thier friends find out about it within hours…
I just wanted a picture of a roadie who looked like an asshole, Perkins, and your picture was the best I could do.  Really, I was sort of hoping to get someone with the “I have no feelings” facial expression, but I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I ran across this picture, and I decided it was good enough.
But it’s not, Perkins.  It’s not.
So here’s what I’d like to propose:
If one of y’all can find me a pisture of a proper “asshole roadie” (amd maybe make up a nickname for him), I’ll swap out the picture (only to be in hot water with some other dude on some other city’s forum...).
Sorry, Perkins.  I’m just a really lazy blogger, and those two-finger whiteboy gang sign things were too much.

That’s pretty funny: Jeff Perkins, roadie asshole. This is a guy that drives a schoolbus to the races, mans the barbecue afterwards, and hands grillables and beer to passersby. He’s the anti-roadie.

Perhaps I’m biased, but I mean, if you can’t post up on the State Champ’s podium, when can you? At the line, he was too busy doing this.
