Turin’s Chris Dimmick is in need of help to dig out the course before Sunday’s state championships cyclocross race. He and others will be out there Saturday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Bring a shovel or broom and treat yourself to a unique off-the-bike workout.

That’s funny. I had thought this entry was going to be about their TEA program (Training, Energy Ambition). Turin also does offer actual free workouts (group run warm-up, plyometrics followed by trainer riding) Monday nights at the shop: http://turinbicycle.com/page.cfm?PageID=141

But digging out the cross course makes a good one too!

I think LPAC actually charges $89 for similar shoveling cross training plans…:)  Should we bring our own shovels?

They better leave some of that snow on the ground…or at least make it into mud with a hair dryer.

digout? hmm…WI just let the Masters and teh 4s race on the snow and make it nice n’ sloppy for the 1/2/3 races.

I thought digging out a course was a BMX thing! Looking forward to tomorrow

Thanks. You guys came through again for putting on a race in some of the most inclement whether conditions. The race was a lot of fun for the racers but I know you guys put in a lot of work.

Kudos,

Eddie b.

Indeed, Turin did a fanatstic job with the course. Take it from pro Tristan Schouten (Planet Bike), who wrote on his blog: “It was one of the best courses I’ve done in the midwest and had all the right elements of a true cross course.”

Yup, Turin did a great job with the race. The course was challenging and fun. Can’t wait ‘till next year.
