Apologies for the slow flow of posts.  We figure you’re all at CCC anyway.  We’ve been following the latest Standings - some familiar faces, but really a whole other world!  Here’s a few little tidbits of news coming out already for the 2014 season:

  • Building on its success, the Intelligentsia Prairie State Cycling Series has announced their dates for 2014:  July 18th to 27th.  Exciting news that the Lake Bluff race on July 19th will be on the NCC calendar.  We also hear the crew is out scouting some possible new venues.  Can I throw in my vote for a nice hilly circuit course?  We’ll be eagerly awaiting announcement of the full schedule details in the coming months.
  • EndureIT! in Willowbrook is sponsoring an indoor Computrainer time trial series. Sara Fix and Julie Hossack will be organizing the events.  Check out the registration page for more details.
  • Chris Wiatr is organizing a ride out in Long Grove, the corner of Robert Parker Coffin Road and Old Mchenry Road at 6PM.  32 mi distance.  Sounds like it will start up in the Spring but reach out to Chris for more information.
  • We’ve been getting whispers of some significant team changes going on over the winter.  Nothing we can announce publicly, but its certainly a testament to the strength of Midwest competitive cycling.  Send along any team news - we’d love to give you props and get the word out.
  • Btw here are two new racing blogs that we find excellent - NorCalCycling News  and 303CyclingNews covering Colorado.
