IRS releases '08 schedule
Dan Daly of the Indiana Race Series has posted a preliminary schedule for 2008. Although the series is much smaller than previous incarnations, it still includes two stage races: the Tour of Indiana on April 19-20 and the Indiana Stage Race on Aug. 23-24.
Missing from the slate is The Great Race, a criterium and road race that are low-key, semi-local alternatives to Memorial Day weekend's big races in Iowa, Minnesota and Tennessee. Daly tells me The Great Race is still on, but he does not yet know whether he'll be helping run them.

Video....perhaps in 2008 i will do this. That was fun in 2007 and will be buying a DVD camcorder for the finish line and general race video coverage. I hope to use it more than I did in 2007.
We have a great 47 KM TTT course at Monrovia as some of you may attest to. We (Chris Clarke) put together a TTT challenge last year with decent cash...like $450 for 1st and $250 for 2nd and $125 for 3rd. Only 3 teams took part. We would love to see some teams from the Chicago area be a part of this challenge. Not sure how we can do get this accomplished? We are either thinking of holding the challenge for one particular day or for the duration of the TT(T)'s at Monrovia. I know it may be hard to get all team members at a given date. Who knows. We may increase the purse size for the challenge. I wanted to see what the IL riders had to say. Thanks.
Teams are 2 to 4 people.

I didn't realize you had a TTT last year. Was it a true TTT or was it scored by the total of individual times?
A lot of teams around here get psyched for the "world championships" in September. I bet many of them would be interested in a tune-up, if it's close enough to Chicago and doesn't conflict with any other major race. Please keep us posted!

Yes..it is a true TTT. You can pick from one of the 10 TT's we have scheduled and do a ttt. That is if we decide to do it again. I think that some IL teams would enjoy the challenge. I like the TTT concept and think that its a discipline that is often overlooked in racing. The Tour De Georgia will be doing one, yeah.
