- » I'm not sure if it's the last cross race of the 2007 season or the first race of the 2008 season, but Team Mack is hosting the 20th Annual Tour de Groundhog on Feb. 17 near Springfield. In preparation, new South Side team Beverly Bike VeePak will be hosting a training cross ride on Feb. 10.

Alex Bowden is or was a member of ABD, so he is another local boy on Team Type 1. He is on the development squad.

Hey thanks for the kind words regarding Team Type 1. If Alex is reading this he needs to turn off the computer and keep training. Wait, maybe I should too....we have work to do this year.

Can you please do a feature on the group rides around Chicago land?
Perhaps you could find contact info in case someone wants to contact people to find out if they can come scope out their ride and change up the rides- like a rider exchange program.
Perhaps you could go on all the rides yourself and rate them. Isn't that a great idea? You can have that idea if you want it.
If you can't ride the ride, maybe you could get someone to write a little more detail about the ride, like route (on google maps would be cool), speed, sprint points if any, ratings regarding speed, acuity, etc.
Maybe you could include if there are any good riders that go on the ride too. Like any semi superstar local legend types who frequent the ride.
If not then please just post the usual stuff- only post it more often please- I am bored.

Excellent idea, Ted. I've been looking for something to do. I'll get on this as soon as I finish my review of the 100 top chamois cremes available in Chicago stores.
Better yet, go do the Mafia Ride tomorrow and tell me how it goes. :)
