Tip #8: Scout the course early

Tip #9: Pre-complete your waivers
It's a weekly routine: Racers huddled around picnic benches filling in their USCF waivers. They scrounge for a pen that works and scratch their heads trying to remember their girlfriends' phone numbers for the emergency contact.
There's a better way. Print the standard USCF release form. Complete all the blanks that won't change over the season, then make 30 copies and put them in your gear bag. Now all you have to do on race day is fill in the name and date of the event. Voila: An extra 2 minutes to go find where you put your chamois creme.

This tip might sound simple but it's just great. Three times already I've walked up to registration, handed in my completed form, and was back at the car changing before I knew it.
Cheers!

Yes this is a very good idea...taking it one step further...Go to www.adobe.com and download the 30 day trial of Acrobat if you don't already have it. Then just complete the entire form with all your information minus the race name, save and then print. You will only need to then put the race name in! Just printed out Proctor and away we go...

Been doing this for a few years now (both USA Cycling and ABR). I've been suggesting it to friends, yet few take the time to actually do it. Great site!
